Something to think about

Posted on Nov 1st, 2008 by Jeff : messenger Jeff
A friend of emailed my this the other day... and it is very thought provoking....

I am beginning to wonder if the republicans chose a nationally
unelectable woman to run on the ticket to send a message to all men
and women that women are not acceptable presidential candidates

The Democrats clensed themselves efficiently of Hillary and women
in general basically stating that the democratic party is not any
more democratic than the nation and that votes do not count if the
democrats don't want them to for a reason that the democratic party
decides.

Maybe we do live in a male dominated female fearing society.
What ever the case we seem to make more fun of women running for
office than is necessary or helpful - unless we are in fact sending a
message to all females of all ages. The best way to modify the
behavior of our young ones is to make examples of the older ones of
their kind. I guess this years election was a big win for men and a
job well done! sad huh

It does however seem like the losers in this election are women
and the men have won another subliminal battle the sexes.

............ just a thought

rest assured that everything they show on the news is designed to make us believe whatever lies they want.  your friend makes a very good point, here.  if women weren't so feared by men of power, they surely wouldn't go to such extremes to make us look bad, would they?

but we don't have a democracy, we have a republic, not that either would be my first choice.  and our education makes us think that our votes count, when one vote is meaningless when majority rules.  so they make us think there is strength in numbers, when to join a party, any group, means we consent to being ruled by what the leader [sic] says, and give up our freedom, our right to disagree or to make any decisions for ourselves.

all of our society is designed to take away individual freedoms for “the good of the group” or “the greater good” or just out of fear, for safety and security.

I hadn't seen this earlier or I would've commented on it myself. I have found this bashing of female candidates horrifying to say the least. What also concerns me is how women have at times abandoned both these candidates as well. And quite frankly I find this more than a bit scary. What has happened to women's lib, was it just a front so women could have sex freely without feeling guilty. Which is a bit of sarcastic comment, but it just seems that the women's movement has fallen apart in favour of a world of Pornutopia, or so it seems. As for Janet Palin, she has herself to blame in many instances, but I don't think I have ever seen democrats especially women feel so threatened by another woman. They have been brutally savage upon Palin, and I can't help but wonder if this says something about the way women think of each other. I'd say they were looking for woman of substance and were offended by Palin's lack of it, but there's Hillary as well. Many well known women swooned for Barack Obama and stomped all over Hillary. I don't get it. And of course getting back to your point, I think men in politics are laughing all the way to the bank on this one, and mocking women, as I think Barack Obama did by insulting Hillary Clinton and women by not even considering her for vice president. Strange stuff my friend. Good topic, really got my blood flowing. Hugs Mikey G.

Interesting observations from you two… I had a thought… imagine that ? Obama team did not pick Hilary because they desired Obama to win on his own merits not with the help of Hilary as his VP. That combo would have been a slam dunk…

So man still has to question thier motives and ethics of why we chose what we chose, Moving beyond our Patriarchal unconsciousness, to our conscious awareness of Oneness…

My blood got flowing when I saw the remark above referring to “janet ” Palin…. Please no besmirching a good old-fashioned name:-)

It killed me that I couldn't get it up for Hillary, cuz I wanted to support the chick. But voting for her because she's a chick would also show bias, as not voting for her because she's a chick would.  I found her too much a part of the machine, while Obama is still a bit outside of it.

As for Sarah Palin, there is one scary woman! I'm sure the results of her candicacy will be a blow for women's political viability. It is very distressing.

I think the disturbing part about all of this is that democrats can't even get along very well. That it would've been a slam dunk as Jeff said, and yet it came down to a power struggle and two egos within the same party who couldn't put a childhood game of king of the hill aside to provide a ticket that would've left no doubt when it came to who was going to be elected president. As for Obama getting it on his own merits, well, I don't see him turning down the help of Hillary or Bill Clinton when he needed it. The fact is he didn't even interview her for the position of  vice-president. The sad part, and I say this as a Canadian watching this is that nothing will actually change in the end or very little. Obama is not going to make all that much of a change because there are still all of these people that are part of the system that now literally can't stand the man, and those are the people that he is going to have to get to work with him. I am going to shut this down because orf emotion, but I just wonder why so many Americans and Canadians cannot see through the slick image of this man and realize that when it came to spending billions of dollars on bank bailouts, which the banks turned around and bought up other failing financial assets, he voted with both John McCain and George W.  Bush. Having said all of this would I vote for Barack Obama if I could? Yes, and I do hope that he wins on Tuesday. Hugs Michael.

it doesn't matter who you vote for.  they don't even count our votes!  the teevee tells us who won, and we eat it up like good unqestioning sheep….

Obama won't change anything.  he's been groomed to rule from birth, from before birth, with the manipulation of key bloodlines.  you know this is true, and you still want to cling to the false hope that some politician is going to come along and actually have your best interests at heart.  but they don't.  they are sucked full-tilt into the power and control game that abuses us all and keeps the slaves working to make the rich even richer.

government only exists to support the war machine that the elite use to remain on top of the pyramid of power.  but that artificial system of control was flawed from the get-go and it's coming down like a house of cards, as the lies that are its very foundation become more and more exposed, as more and more people start asking the tough questions, and not happily swallowing the lies that have sedated the masses for far too long….

Although, I try and stay away from ranting or venting in an inflammatory way, I cannot really argue with you and much of my own frustration is that all western government suffer from similar problems, in that they are not actually in it for the average voter. Polls for the bank bailout regularly showed that between 85 and 95% of americans did not want the government to bail them out. Of course they ignored the wishes of the American public. Do I think that politicians are evil. No, of course not, and I do think most of them are well intentioned. I just think that as far as the political system goes it is in decline and must be radically redefined and changed. What really bothers me is that we go along with it and what I fear even more is that if Obama does not make significant change then it will result in massive  alienation among the voting public, which may not be a bad thing, but it may also keep the present system in place. But as far as the basic argument in your blog I cannot argue with you on it. They are all part of the same game and we just ignore it and accept what happens. What amazes me is that people ignore the obvious stuff right in front of their faces. Does anyone actually believe that Joe Biden is not part of the establishment, and even Joe Biden cast doubt on Obama during the Presidential campaign by essentially saying that as Vice President he'd be there to bail out Obama when the first crisis hit. Such massive hypocrisy in this grand puppet theatre. He wants to win it on his own merits? What about the thousands and thousands of people that work for him to get him elected. What arrogance to believe that any man could win a presidency all by himself. Sadly, I firmly believe this is about Barack Obama trying to prove to his delinquent dad that he could amount to something in this world. Just a thought.

Most of the republicans I talk to like Sarah Palin. Women are getting their foot in the door just find, always think positive! These are some of the first women we've seen in politics. I thought Sarah Palin was everything that a republican should be, just a little bit inexperienced. I love to embrace the new candidates since both seem to want to make this country better then it is now. Let's trust they have the best thoughts in mind, and try not to delve into thought provoking subliminal desynthesizing brought on by media feminism deterrence. Remember it only works if it changes your opinion, and I think that women are already leading this country hand in hand with men.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but the facts don't lie and positive thinking won't pay off the over ten trillion dollar debt your country has. That's thirty thousand dollars for every man woman and child in the United States. The United States has been engaged in the war in Iraq that has cost well over a trillion dollars and spent almost another trillion dollars on a bailout that 85 to 95% of taxpayers didn't want to be done.  The United States has the highest child poverty rate of any developed country. The Iraq war has increased terrorism rather than lower or eliminate it. The United States does not have Universal Health Care. These are all facts. Not media invention. Not to mention this fact, Is Sarah Palin the best female candidate the Republicans could find? Surely the Republicans could find a better female candidate than this.  She is nothing but a media image. I'm sorry, I realize that nobody wants to stare the truth straight in the face but it is not going to change unless you make changes. Positive thinking and ignoring the obvious won't get it done. Your country is on the brink of an economic collapse!

Well, I can try to be cynical but it never works out… but you need to know that the bail out plan was needed. It matters what we do from now on. The country has been much worse. If she is a media image than she doesn't server her purpose. I believe she is just an inexperienced politician. As for the poverty statistic I question it, I would like to know your sourcing. When it comes to the poverty rate itself, I can tell you we beat the United Kingdom for starters. Bulgaria, Cambodia, Chile, Turkey, what do you consider to be well developed? These statistics are from the CIA. The associated polls said 30% of people were for the bailout 45% were against 25% were undecided. That's quite different from the 85% you claimed. It can also be said from the same poll that 50% said a bailout was needed. The iraq war was not a war we needed, I agree with that, but we need to give Iraq a good start. I don't think you would want America to bomb a place and just leave it, it's better to help restore Iraq then to just leave. Health care is on the way with Barrack Obama, Sarah Palin may have been a purely political choice, but she was a good one. Truth is in the eye of the beholder, it can not be taken from emotion or feelings. I doubt any of us like the direction we have been going in, but it is better to be positive and unite, then to be cynical and bicker. Economic collapse was the Great Depression,  this is what happened in the 1980's,  we are always in charge of changing america, because we are all america. I would like us to think of what we can be, instead of what we are.
